Phone answering

*Answer the phone at the 2nd ring

*Smile and Say “Good Morning, Good’s Millwork, this is _______, How may I help you?” If they don’t say their name or business, ask “And could I let _____ know who’s calling please?” “And the nature of your call?” Park the call by pressing a park shortcut (or Transfer, 702, transfer).

*Page the men, and let them know who is calling, (and what park they are on, if other than 701).

Sales—Bryan, Troy, or Jeff   Lumber purchasing– Dominque Morris

Issues or warranty– Tim     Glass or Cut listing– Jim Hillman   Shipping– Dwayne

Or….family members calling for anyone (call that person’s team lead & relay the message)

*To reach someone out in the shop, or Tim, use the radio—press down on the middle button (that has a square on it) on the left side until the call sounds. Then hold down the upper button while you talk. (“Tim, Tim Good” when they reply, give your message clearly. (“there’s a call from Herrman Lumber for you on 702”)

*To send someone to a voicemail, hit ‘Transfer’, *, then dial their extension number, and hit transfer again or just hang up.

*If you cannot transfer the call, take a detailed message with the caller’s name, business name, phone number, what they are calling about, order number (if applicable) etc. and email it to whoever needs to return the call.

*When you are out or away from your desk, hit “DND” to show that you can’t get calls.
