What Work Order to Cutlist Next

Per the Cut Listing Communication SOP the projects needing to be cut listed are posted to the Trello Board – Cutlisting Dept.. Refer to column “Jobs that Need Cutlisting”.

Cards with red labels need to be cut listed first.  The red card means it is a rush order though Good’s production system.

If there are no red labeled card in the column, choose the next card at the top of the column.

These cards are added as projects become orders (to the bottom of the column) and our system is dependent on a first in, first out model.  This system is used to help order accessories for the door unit so they arrive in time to assemble the unit before the ship date for the unit.

Single Piece Flow is the goal.  Work on one order from start to finish.

 

 

  • All orders must be cutlist min of 4 weeks before ship date
  • If work orders pile up past that point- work overtime to beat back.
