Lumber Stacking and Storage SOP

Stacking

1. All stacks are to be 40” wide
2. All boards must be within 1’ of total stack length
3. When stacking lumber make sure THREE edges are totally even
4. Place runners at proper distance from end (use chart below)
5. Make sure label is on the lower right hand corner of bundle
6. Count total layers before and after use and inform Gang Rip Department

Storage

1. Place bundles in appropriate area
2. ALL scraps
   1. Store against wall or in marked bin
   2. Sort all lumber scraps by specie for easy retrieval

 

 

 

Always check available scrap when starting a new order
