Cardinal always puts tempering logos on.

They need 15.5″ on diagonal (both ways) to temper.

They suggest a minimum leg with of 6″ to be able to bend the spacer, but they have done 5″ for us. (6-1-21:  They need 4.5 – 5″.)

They are closed for the following holidays:

Memorial Day – Monday only

Thanksgiving & Black Friday.

Christmas Eve & Christmas – 2 business days

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s – 2 business days

Do they ship glass?

Samples only for sending GLASS via UPS. We have special cardboard boxes that look like pizza boxes we tape up and use.

Any larger glass we would crate and those crates are $250.00 each for single glass and $350 for larger box crates. We ship glass these via Old Dominion freight and rates are typically over $1000.00.

This list can get from Cardinal if they can get (they do not stock); do not need to see sample:

Flemish   $18.61/sq. foot  Needs to be at least 9/16″ to IG.

14.5 min diagonal to temper and the sheet size the supplier stocks @ 3.9 mm is  52 x 84. Our max for 3.9MM is 23 sq ft
5-28-19 Cardinal can no longer get Flemish from their supplier, and is asking that we order elsewhere, except for remakes.

Cotswold     3.9mm – sheet size 52 x 84 from our supplier. $10.39 sq ft @ 2 week lead time.

Aquatex-4.7MM @ $6.50 sq ft add on (above price of clear)  Stock sheet size is 60 x 84. Not marked directional; could be turned. $7.35/sq. ft.

Cardinal does not have:

Baroque, 6-27-18

Hammered Obscure 7-12-18 -Completely different from Arlene’s!!!

Industrex 9-5-18 discontinued; 9-25-18 available again; 12-10-18 Supplier is out. 12-11-18 Cardinal has 6 sheets of Listral (replaces the old Industrex); we have Listral pictured.  Cardinal has 2 sheets and that is all.  3-6-19  They used up the last of this glass trying to fill an order for us.  3.9MM is the thickness @ 60 x 84 sheets

Antique 4-30-19:  Cannot temper.

SPACER COLORS

Stainless Steel is the standard.

Gray

Black (set up as default for our account.)

Grill Between Glass Colors

Minimum IG Thickness when grills between glass: 9/16″

Green, White, Bronze, Tan, Brick Red, Black

Width Sizes: 5/8″ (standard), 13/16″, 3/4″, 1″, 1/2″

The only ½” bar we stock is SDL or the anodized bars that get covered with exterior grill to make them look like a simulated divided lite unit. We do not have any painted bar in ½” although we have had folks use the black SDL as a painted bar.

Replacement for oozing

On rectangle operable type units for DH and CSMT products we need to be at ½” or under on our sightline from the edge of the glass to where the channel or PIB sealant extends.  If there is an area where it is more than ½”, than we would consider it a reject.  Large direct sets and shapes would be 5/8”.  If they are more than that we will replace them at no charge.

Absolute Black Lami Glass

$15.62 sq ft and it will take 7-10 days to get. You can insulate it with any other type of glass like 3.1mm up to 5.7mm as long as it’s tempered. This black lami glass will conduct heat and runs the risk of heat stress breakage. Just add the $15.62 sq/ft to the standard IGU pricing. 9-17-24
